CT Scan Department of Chellaram Diabetes Hospital is a highly specialized, full-service department which strives to meet maximum needs of patient and clinician in diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedures. A computed tomography scan, also called a CAT scan or CT scan, is a valuable medical examination that combines X-ray and sophisticated computers to generate detailed cross-sectional anatomical images of body part under study.
At Chellaram Diabetes Hospital, we have installed brand new, multi-slice Siemens CT Somatom Scope model scanner which enables faster scanning. Facilities for non-contrast as well as contrast enhanced CT studies are available. Intensive care unit nearby the CT scan department helps to rapidly tackle with any contrast related reactions.
Facilities for 3D (three dimensional) CT scan are available and images of same will be provided.
The hospital harbours PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) which enables immediate availability of CT images to all as well as relevant consultant for viewing in respective consulting rooms as well as intensive care unit rather than waiting for CT films.
