Online Consultation Process

In keeping with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), in collaboration with NITI Aayog, Board of Governors (BoG) and Medical Council of India (MCI), the Chellaram Hospital – Diabetes Care & Multispecialty is offering patients an online consultation service with Dr Unnikrishnan A.G. and Dr Vedavati Purandare.

Please Note: The online consultation facility is being provided only for non-emergency cases. For any health emergency, we strictly advise you to visit Chellaram Hospital.

Prior to starting the booking process, please ensure you have:

• Debit / Credit Card
• WhatsApp account / Skype account / Google Duo account [Any one of the three]
  • WhatsApp: Available on Google Play or Apple Store on your mobile phone.
  • Skype: https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/
  • Google Duo: Available on Google Play or Apple Store on your mobile phone.

How To Make Your Online Consultation Booking?

Step 1: Select the doctor with whom you wish to consult online. Click on ‘Book Online Consultation’.

Step 2: On the doctor’s page, click on ‘Online Consultation’.

Step 3: From the available time slots, select the one most convenient to you.
[Please Note: You can book your online consultation up to 24 hours prior of your selected time slot]

Step 4: Fill in your details and press ‘Next’.

Step 5: Make the payment using your debit card/credit card/paypal account.

Step 6: You will receive an email once your booking has been successful.

How Does The Online Consultation Process Work?

• Patients should send their reports to reception email ID [reception@cdi.org.in] prior to their online consultation. Else, please ensure that you have your latest medical reports on-hand during the online consultation. It is also helpful to also email in advance your symptoms, names and dosages of prescribed medicines and your queries and doubts. If that is not possible then all of this information along with old medical reports should be kept handy during your online consultation.
• Please be prepared to receive the video call at the given time. Please ensure you have good 3G/4G network connectivity or a home broadband service. Cross check if the right email ID and phone are provided.
• At the scheduled time, stay online and logged-in on your WhatsApp/Skype/Google Duo account using your mobile phone or laptop.
• You will get a video call from the doctor at the scheduled time.
• Accept the call to begin your online consultation; the duration of which will be 15 minutes.
• After the consultation, the doctor will email the prescription to you.
